How the AI manga translator handles one page
01Upload the raw page
A PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF of a Japanese page you have, up to 8 MB. Screenshots, scans, and clear phone photos all work, and vertical text needs no setting.
02Balloons get cleaned
Every speech balloon and caption box is detected, the Japanese lettering is erased, and the art behind it is rebuilt so no trace of the old text is left.
03English gets lettered in
The translation is set inside each balloon, sized to fit and centred. You read it in place, then download the finished page as a full-size PNG.

The stuff readers ask first
You upload a Japanese manga page you already have. We find the speech balloons, erase the Japanese text, rebuild the art underneath, and letter the English or Chinese translation back into the same balloons. You get the same page back, ready to read, instead of a list of sentences next to the original.
Your first page is free and needs no account. Sign in and you get 10 more free pages. After that each page costs 10 credits — about $0.025 a page on the $9.9 Lite pack (400 pages) down to $0.02 a page on Ultra. It is not unlimited.
A PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF image of one page, up to 8 MB. Guests upload one file; signed-in users can select up to 20 images or one ZIP (8 MB per image, 80 MB total). Website links, multi-page PDFs, and folders are not accepted.
Standard manga pages with Japanese dialogue in speech balloons and caption boxes: vertical or horizontal text, black-and-white or colour, from action scenes to slice-of-life conversations. Clean scans with readable lettering give the best results.
Pages that are not in Japanese, chapters longer than 20 pages, and very blurry or tiny images where the text cannot be read. Sound effects drawn into the artwork and handwritten notes outside balloons may be left as they are. Translation is done by an AI model, so jokes and wordplay are sometimes flatter than a human translation.
Nothing is taken. Credits and free pages are only counted after the translated page comes back successfully. If the run errors out, your balance and free pages stay exactly where they were, and you can try again.
Yes, up to 20 pages. Sign in, select up to 20 images or one ZIP, and the workbench processes them in natural filename order. Each page uses its own request and credits. Multi-page PDFs and folders are not supported.
The original page should be Japanese. You can translate it into English or Chinese and switch between them on the same page.
Yes. When a page is done, the download button saves it as a full-size PNG. Your original file is never changed.
No. Credits from one-time packs do not expire, so you can buy a pack and use it whenever a new chapter comes out.
The next page shows the credit packs instead of translating. Pick a pack, pay, and carry on from the same page. There is no subscription to cancel.
No. We do not host, index, crawl, or link to manga, and there is no chapter library or catalog. The only page we see is the one you upload.
It is used for that one translation and is not added to any public library or shown to other users. The translated page is sent back to your browser.
No. The translated page is for your personal reading. You are responsible for having the right to read the original page, and we do not grant a licence to redistribute translations.
Our own pipeline detects the balloons, erases the Japanese, and letters the translation back in; a large language model does the translating. If the service is not configured, the run stops with a clear error. Nothing is faked.
Yes. Only the text inside balloons and caption boxes is replaced. Line art, screentone, panel borders, and characters are kept, and the area behind the old Japanese text is rebuilt so the new lettering sits on clean art.
Yes. Upload from your phone's photo library or camera roll, translate, and save the finished page back to your phone. No app to install.
Usually 10 to 30 seconds, depending on how many balloons the page has and how busy the art is. Keep the tab open while it works; you will see a progress screen until the translated page appears.
